Actuarial intelligence for insurance and pensions
Archanan is a new actuarial firm based in Copenhagen, founded in October 2024. We have built a liability modelling platform for DB pension funds. Version 1 in production, developed with a professional software vendor using DevOps best practices and cloud infrastructure. And we provide senior actuarial consultancy and outsourcing services to insurance companies and pension funds.
We are backed by Innovation Fund Denmark. The Monte Carlo methods underlying our platform are being independently validated by the University of Copenhagen. Our consulting and outsourcing work draws directly on a track record built over 20+ years working with some of Denmark's largest pension funds and active participation to international regulatory consultations and papers.

Our founders
Archanan is a partnership in every sense. Martin and Lisbeth have been married for nearly twenty years. And in founding Archanan together, they have brought two careers into a combination that is difficult to replicate.
Martin brings deep experience across insurance and pensions through leading actuarial roles and as founder of his own actuarial consultancy. Lisbeth brings the business acumen and operational leadership from more than a decade running her own company, ISO-certified quality management, hard-tech and SaaS product development, and a foundation built at McKinsey and sharpened through M&A experience.
At Archanan, the actuarial substance and the business discipline were built in from the start. Because both founders brought their half of it on day one.

Martin
Co-founder & Chief Risk Actuary
Fully qualified actuary with 20 years in senior actuarial roles at PFA, Sampension, Skandia and TDP, including appointed actuary positions with board-level responsibility. Independent consultant since 2019, with engagements at PensionDanmark, P+, and Pension for Selvstændige spanning solvency modelling, technical provisions, and risk management. DFSA-approved for Fit and Proper, and has delivered Fit and Proper training at CEO and board level. Appointed by the Supreme Court as independent expert appraiser in a class action lawsuit. Member of the Risk Management Committee of the Actuarial Association of Europe and Chair of the Pension Risk Management Working Group.

Lisbeth
Co-founder & CEO
MSc in Business Administration with a career foundation at McKinsey and in M&A at Falck. Spent 10+ years as owner-manager of TF-Technologies, a technology company specialising in control systems for road paving machinery. In 2019, won an Innobooster grant to develop an innovative SaaS platform for asphalt paving data. Pivoting the business from hardware to SaaS and leading to an exit upon acquisition by the world's second-largest manufacturer of paving equipment. Brings deep experience in tech development, SaaS product building, ISO certification, and compliance. Following the exit, Lisbeth has focused on active management of her own investment portfolio in bonds, listed equities and private equity, developing hands-on experience in capital allocation, investment analysis, and the commercial dynamics of early and growth-stage businesses.
